PERSKINDOL SWISS EPIC is a mountain bike adventure set amidst a beautiful Swiss Alpine landscape.
The race course of this stage race comprises a huge variety of challenging single trails that pass by lush greenery, rugged rock formations, impressive glaciers, magnificent 4,000-metre peaks as well as charming Valais mountain villages and vineyards. This six-day race is taking place for the third time from 12 to 17 September 2016. Professional and ambitious amateur athletes are competing in teams of two in five stages from Zermatt to Verbier via Grächen and Leukerbad. The new route across varied Alpine landscapes takes racers past quaint mountain villages and traditional vineyard terraces, through golden woodland, and along historic Suonen irrigation channels. There are two race formats to choose from: SWISS EPIC (360 km, 12,500 m elevation gain) and SWISS EPIC FLOW (280 km, 8,000 m elevation gain and 15,600 elevation loss), each containing multiple categories. A short version of the race with the full Swiss Epic taste can be booked with the 2-DAY package. Participants can further choose between different all-inclusive packages, meaning they don’t need to worry about luggage, accommodation, food or drink.
